Established in 2015.
City Place Wine Bar was started to provide a destination for the wine and beer lovers of the Sunnyvale area. The owners and staff have a passion for wine and service and would like to extend a welcome to the folks living, shopping and working in Sunnyvale.

am a high tech professional who, like many other techies, developed a passion for wine. After more than 30 years (and counting) in the high tech business I have decided to take my passion for wine to the retail level and build relationships with others in the South Bay with a common interest.     My friend and i decided to come for a drink after flywheel, and about an hour later, it turned into a party when more folks came to join us. we got the happy hour oysters, which were 1.50 each and delicious. they were super plump and fresh. we then got the chicken liver mousse w/ toast points, and i ate like a loaf of bread while eating the mousse. there goes the spinning workout!

    I had a fantastic lunch here with my boyfriend a few weeks ago. The server was such a nice person and gave wonderful cheese and wine recommendations. Their cheeses are superb as well as the jams. They offer half glass wines if you want to try different ones without getting drunk, haha. Memorable experience and it was a great deal for what you get.
